SmartBuild™ Foam Barrier is a high-performance, flexible thermal insulation solution constructed from 4 mm thick closed-cell polyethylene (PE) foam, laminated on one side with reflective MPET foil and on the other with a woven poly scrim for durability.
Engineered to deliver effective radiant heat reflection, moisture control, and lightweight handling, this product is ideal for metal buildings, HVAC wrap, wall insulation, and light commercial roofing assemblies.

General Handling Recommendations:
1. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Gloves: Recommended to avoid sharp edge contact with foil surfaces.
- Eye Protection: Suggested when cutting or trimming overhead.
- Footwear: Safety shoes required on construction sites.
- Dust Mask: Not required — product is fiber-free and VOC-free.
2. Storage Guidelines
- Store in a cool, shaded, and dry indoor area.
- Avoid stacking heavy materials directly on top of rolls.
- Keep away from direct sunlight or prolonged UV exposure before installation.
3. Installation Safety
- Ensure jobsite is clear of tripping hazards and roll trimmings.
- Always use appropriate fall protection if installing on rooftops.
- Use caution when working near edges, penetrations, or open framing.
- Maintain good ventilation if installing in tight, enclosed spaces.
4. Fire Safety
- SmartBuild™ Foam Barrier is ASTM E84 Class A fire rated, but is not fireproof.
- Keep away from direct flame, torches, or high-heat welding equipment.
- Do not use in assemblies that require tested fire-resistance unless part of a listed system.
5. Moisture & Vapor Safety
- Product is a solid vapor barrier — not breathable.
- Do not use in wall assemblies requiring permeability or inward drying.
- Confirm compatibility with local code requirements for vapor retarders.
